A cast copper alloy Roman brooch, T shaped type dating from 43 - 200 AD. The foot of the brooch and the catchplate is missing. The bow is triangular in section with a bevelled front. It is bent and distorted and much of the patina has been stripped. The top of the bow is wider and ends with an undecorated shell shaped head with a curved top. The wings are tubular and have a single groove near each end. They contain and iron axis bar and have a slot for the hinged pin which is missing.
