Copper alloy with white metal plating brooch. Fragment of a cast hinged Colchester derivative or Dolphin brooch with tubular wings clenched around an axis bar retaining the stub of a hinged pin. The bow is of rounded section, narrowing markedly below its junction with the wings. Both ends of the wings retain white material, and there are remnants of silver or tin plating on the wings and bow. Suggested date: Early Roman, 60-80. Length: 18.4mm, Width (wings): 23.3mm, Thickness (crest of bow): 5.3mm, Weight: 4.88gms.

A cast, copper alloy Roman disc brooch dating from 100-200AD. It is circular in plan with four small, rectangular knops spaced equidistantly around the rim. The top and bottom knops carry the hinge mount and catch plate respectively on the reverse. The catch plate remains, but the rim section carrying the hinge mount has broken away and is missing. The brooch is decorated with an openwork design of four kidney shaped piercings around a central, raised, circular rivet. An incomplete cast, copper-alloy bow and fantail brooch. Only the top half remains. The wings are semi-cylindrical in cross-section and are undecorated. The spring and pin are missing. At the top in the centre is an incomplete chain loop. The bow is comma shaped in profile, D-shaped in cross-section and contains a half-rounded notched reel in the centre with a simple collar above and below. The reel motif is identifical to the reels usually seen on Trumpet brooches, and so this particular brooch appears to be a hybrid. The foot is missing. The brooch has been silvered or tinned.

A copper-alloy disc brooch of the Roman period. The brooch is circular, flat and decorated with an inner circle of reserve metal. The field within the circle would have once contained enamel however none now survives. The field outside the circle once contained red enamel however only a small patch of this survives. Set around the inner circle is a band of 'V'-shaped motifs of reserve metal. On the reverse are two lugs to house a spring mechanism, and a worn catchplate. The spring and pin are missing.
