A cast, lead alloy, openwork artefact, possibly a brooch, of uncertain date. It is oval in shape and is pierced with an openwork lattice design. There is a central, raised dot and a series of fourteen raised dots spaced equidistantly around the rim. On the reverse, at one end of the oval is a small, integral loop. At the other end are the remains of what might possibly have been a catchplate. There is no pin remaining. It is 35.2mm long, 31.6mm wide and 6mm thick. It weighs 11.48gm. An early-medieval to medieval lead-alloy shield brooch dating from AD 1050 - AD 1175, of Weetch type 26. The brooch is an elongated drop shape, or kite shaped. The outer face is decorated with five pellets, the centre one larger, equi-distantly spaced, forming a saltire with a pellet in the centre. The central pellet is surrounded by a ring of smaller pellets, with similar arcs round each of the other main pellets. A lead alloy probable brooch fragment which is probably from the mid Early Medieval period. The fragment is a sub rectangular flat plate with one end rounded, and the other end broken with the majority of the brooch missing. The fragment is divided into two panels by a transverse raised bar. There seems to be a plain border round each panel, and interlace patterns within. A lead alloy brooch of Weetch's type 4.A, which dates to the late Anglo-Saxon period (10th century). The brooch is a flat circular disc with a diameter of 39.1mm, and is a maximum of 11mm thick including the pin fittings. There is an area missing from one edge. A lead alloy circular brooch which probably dates from the late Early-Medieval period, 11th century. It has a diameter of 27.1mm and is 6.5mm thick including the dome; the metal is 1.6mm thick. The border consists of a raised line with a band of raised pellets on either side, larger ones on the outside. The centre of the brooch is domed and is decorated with a single ribbon consisting of two parallel raised lines which is twisted to form six loops grouped in pairs. An incomplete cast lead alloy object, possibly a fragment of a brooch dating from the early Early Medieval period (AD 400 - 600). The brooch is possibly a small square-headed type, but this identification is uncertain due to the fragmentary nature of the object. The fragment is roughly rectangular in plan with two original edges at a right angle, forming the outer edge of the object, and two broken edges.
