A copper alloy brooch pin of unknown date. The pin is a very simple design with a small part bent over itself to form a loop. The loop has been filled in with dirt, which has solidified. The shape of the pin has been bent into a thin "S" shape with the terminal broken off.

Copper alloy Roman plate brooch, of zoomorphic design, depicting a prancing horse in profile, dating to around 2nd century AD. The front is highly decorative, with the mane and facial features engraved and the body area containing open areas of arabesques and curling designs that would have contained enamel. Only a trace of red remains of this. An incomplete late Iron Age La Tène III type brooch or Nauheim derivative type, dating to the period c. AD 25 - 100. One half of the spring is missing, with only two coils remaining, originally the coil would tapered into the pin but this has broken off with the spring. It has an internal chord. The bow is flat and broad at the uppermost, with a maximum width of 4.71 mm and tapers gently to 1.33 mm thick.
