Cast copper alloy annular brooch. The copper alloy pin is intact. The brooch has eight evenly spaced collets each containing the white remains of the adhesive. Between each collet is a slightly concave rectangular panel with five punched dots on its face. The five dots are arranged in a trapezoidal fashion. The pin is not original.

Treasure reference 2017 T1055: a medieval silver gilt annular brooch dating to the 13th or 14th century. Description This report concerns a medieval silver gilt annular brooch, found in two parts nearly seventeen years apart. The larger of the two fragments was discovered on the 15th June 2000 and recorded by Marina Elwes as NLM-DA8752, while the smaller was found on the 23rd April 2017 and recorded by Adam Daubney. A cast, silver gilt annular open frame brooch in the form of a bat. The frame of the brooch is heart shaped. The head of the bat is at the top of the frame, with the stylised folded wings forming the sides of the frame. Two holes on the inside of the wings would have been the pin hole and pin rest for a separate pin, though the pin is missing. The back of the brooch is flat.

A fragment of a medieval brooch, remaining fragment is a corner piece approximatly one quarter of the completed buckle. The pin is still present, attatched to the corner of the buckle, it moves freely. A single rivet can be seen towards the edge of the corner. The surface is worn, plain and unpatterned.

A small silver annular brooch. The brooch has a wide, flat frame with a restriction for the silver pin. The upper surface of the frame is decorated with a band of incised paired chevrons containing dots within its interior cells. The object fulfils the Treasure Act (1996) in that it is more than 300 years old and has a precious metal content exceeding 10%.

An elaborate medieval copper alloy annular brooch. The frame is flat, circular and has four collets evenly spaced around it. Each collet is hollow and contains degraded white paste. Between each collet is a bulbous rivet on a flat square plate. Each plate is decorated with two perimeters of hatched lines. The frame has a small hole for the pin at the base of one of the collets. Only the first part of the pin remains.

A fragment of a medieval copper alloy annular or polygonal brooch. The fragment comprises two lengths of frame. One length is of curving lenticular form and supports a separate sexfoil which is held in place by a large facetted conical rivet. On the adjacent straight length are two integral outward leaning collets each with a white paste infill (formerly securing glass stones). The brooch appears to have a high tin content.

A silver annular brooch of the Medieval period. J P Robinson of the British Museum writes: 'A Medieval brooch consisting of a circular hoop and a pin attached by a wide loop decorated with an oval collar with punched decoration. The pin is slightly distorted and lies at an angle from the attachment loop. The brooch is silver and dates from the late thirteenth or the fourteenth century.'
