Flat disk circular copper alloy brooch, probably Roman 2nd century, although similar examples of Anglo-Saxon brooches exist (Hattatt 2000, plate 1315, fig. 238). The object is incomplete. The pin and part of catch plate are missing. The object is of uneven shape with edges corroded away. The plate surface is decorated by a six pointed star with only four points visible, the rest is corroded away. The middle of the star and its points are decorated by circles.

Roman copper alloy and enamel dragonesque brooch. 37mm long, 25mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 8.69grams. It is incomplete, missing its lower third, but is well cast. Its head has a large crescentric ear and a large sub spherical eye. This joins the sub oval body by a thin curved shaft. Its body has five cells for enamel, a large central one which is 'lentoid' in form is flanked by two sub-triangular cells and two 'leaf shaped cells. One of the sub triangular cells has a patch of red enamel still adhering to it, the others are empty.

Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, West Midlands), cf. Mackreth 2011, 4.b, 4c, Plate 46. Late 1st to early 2nd century AD. The object is missing most of its bow, its pin and spring. The wings are decorated with a raised edge, but are otherwise plain.

Copper alloy brooch foot, 37mm long, 7mm wide and 3mm thick, probably from a Roman P-shaped brooch. The object is in fair condition and weighs 8.44g. At the top is a fragment of curved bow, oval in cross-section, then a raised curved collar at the junction of bow and foot. The foot flares gently from the bow giving a trapezoidal shape. It has a one slightly bowed face, the opposite being flat, with the remains of a catchplate scar. Compare similar P-shaped brooches at LEIC-9E634D and YORYM-1B1BF9. 2nd or 3rd century.

Roman copper alloy zoomorphic plate brooch, 36mm long, 16mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 5.28grams. The object is in the form of a jumping lion (Hattatt type 1193) but is missing its legs, tail and part of its face. It is sub-rectangular in form and consists of a lion facing right with its hind legs tucked under its lean body, as though running. Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends, middle Severn Valley)' cf. Mackreth 2011, 3. Plate 45, pg 71. It is 41mm long, 18mm wide and 17mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition and weighs 7.06grams. The brooch is complete except for a catchplate and pin. It has an intact spring of 7 coils contained within its wings and has a sub rectangular bow which is decorated with two lines of stamped dots forming a ribbon down its length. It had an open catchplate, the start of which can just be seen where it has broken.

Rectangular copper alloy object with one face decorated with a line of triangular and a line of rectangular cells, some with traces of blue enamel. The lines of cells are separated by three raised ridges, and there are four projecting lateral rounded knobs at the corners of the rectangle. A flattened broken stub projects from one edge, possibly the remains of a broken brooch bow. Probably part of a decorative plate from a Roman brooch. The object is in fair condition, is 26mm long, 22mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 4.5g.

Roman copper alloy brooch fragment, 15mm long, 14mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 0.93grams. The object consists of the corner of a lozenge shaped plate brooch which contains the hinged pin on its reverse. The plate is plain and has a slight raised ridge around its edge. The brooch could match several examples in fig 208, page 349 of Hattatt, R. Visual catalogue of ancient brooches.
