An incomplete Roman copper-alloy disc brooch. The brooch is ring shaped , with the central hole measuring 6.3mm in diameter. The central hole is bordered on the face of the brooch by twin raised circular bands, the inner of which is slightly wider. Between the outer band and the outer raised border of the brooch is a recessed field of alternate blue and green enamel insets. The reverse of the brooch has a radially aligned broken double-lug to hinge the pin (now missing). Diametrically opposed to this on the same radial alignment is the sub-triangular catch plate. Roman cast copper alloy T-shaped brooch; complete apart from the pin and part of the catch-plate. The brooch has a wide head with a central pin slot and wings forming a cylindrical cover for the spindle which the missing pin hinged on. Both wings taper gradually from the centre to the ends and have a transverse incised line around them just before the end. An incomplete and corroded Roman cast copper-alloy plate brooch. The brooch is oval in plan with a raised oval setting (16.71mm x 11.90mm) on the upper surface.The inset is missing but is likely to have been made of glass. At one end of the reverse are two right-angled lugs, now covered with iron corrosion, which represent the pin attachment. A single such lug, located at the opposite end, is the catchplate.
