Cast copper alloy enameled disc brooch originally slightly dished (concave/convex: umbonate) but now crushed. The decoration consisted of two concentric rings of triangular champleve cells some of which retain traces of enamel the colour of which cannot be determined. In the centre of the rings is a circular recess surrounded by an annular groove. On one edge of the disc are the remains of the hinge for a self-sprung pin mechanism, the catch-plate is missing. It appears that the disc was originally surrounded by a flange marked by a deep groove.
