A copper-alloy brooch, oval shaped surmounted by a King's crown and surrounded by a laurel and twisted rope border. At the centre of the brooch is depicted Nelson's Column and at the bottom of the brooch is written " ADMIRALTY". On the reverse is the damaged remains of the pin and catch plate.

A gold pennanular brooch. The panannular frame is 26mm in diameter and 3mm wide. It is decorated with floriate design which appears to have been etched into a wider sheet and then shaped into its current form. The terminals are domed and adorned with filigree (alternate triangles and circles) and topped with a square cut green glass stone which sits atop the dome. the base and green glass have filigree borders. The frame terminals are 7.5mm in diameter and sit 5mm high.
The pin is 44mm long and is attached to teh frmae by a rectangular notch allowing the frame to move freely around…
