The surface of the brooch is extremely worn. The wings are 19.08mm long, the brooch is 18.34mm long and weighs 3.13 grams.

Late Iron Age to early Roman (20BC-40AD) copper alloy one piece Nauheim derivative brooch. The brooch has a bilateral spring of four coils, broken before the pin extension. The undecorated bow is narrowed, with a flattened ‘D’ shaped cross section and it tapers towards the foot where a triangular catchplate extends from the reverse. The brooch has a mid to light green patina. It is 40.61mm long, 9.37mm wide across the spring coil, 4.07mm wide at the top of the bow, decreasing to 1.70mm thick. It weighs 2.85 grams.

The brooch is very abraded and has been bent round into a curve. An incomplete Iron Age cast copper alloy La Tene brooch, probably type 1B dating to the period 400 to 275 BC.
