A Colchester-type one-piece brooch, with part of the catchplate and foot terminal missing. Comprises a five-coil springwhich is complete, but broken at the start of the chord. Very little verdigris on surfaces, which are dull copper coloured. With a very fine vertical engraved line at the ends of the wings. Has an ovoid sectioned bow. Wingspan 8mm. Length c.80mm (estimated from intact but bent pin). c.20 - c.60 century AD.

Incomplete copper alloy brooch dating to the Iron age, (800BC-100AD). It consists of a long strip of copper alloy which curls at the top into the start of a coil. The middle section is slightly wider and flatter than the rest of the object. The object is broken at both ends. It probably belongs to the Hallstatt or the La Tene period. It has a smooth green patina and is undecorated.

An incomplete copper alloy brooch pin dating to the Iron age or early Roman period, (550BC-200AD). The object consists of a thin piece of rounded copper alloy. This has been curled in the centre to form a spring of one coil. The tip of the pin is still sharp and it is broken at the other end. It is all one piece and possibly from the Hallstatt period, (550-300BC). It has a smooth, light green patina and is undecorated.

A complete copper-alloy La Tene I brooch of Iron Age date. It has an integrally cast spring of four coils, two to either side of the bow, with external spring chord and integrally cast pin. The pin is cylindrical in form and tapers to a sharp point, exhibiting some sings of post-depositional damage that have left it slightly bent in places. The bow is curved, oval shaped in section with flattened back face and moulded decoration on the front face. A cast copper alloy one piece brooch dating to the Late Iron Age (1st century BC/AD). The brooch is minimally decorated with only a thin cast groove down the spine. The catchplate sits sideways out from the foot of the brooch like some La Tene II variants. The catchplate is incomplete and the pin is missing, while only one partial loop of the integral spring remains.

Copper alloy possible brooch fragment. Cast terminal, possibly from a Pennanular Brooch, comprising part of a massy round section band of diameter 8.8mm and a ball terminal of diameter 13mm, apparently uncollared. If this identification is sustained, this could be a simple example of Fowler's Class A. Alternatively, this may be from a bangle, bracelet or neck ring decorated according to similar conventions. An incomplete copper-alloy Colchester one piece type brooch, dating c.25-60AD. The bow has a circular cross-section. Wings extend out from the bow on each side by 2.23mm. No catch plate survives. The start of a pin and hook only survive for a length of 4.00mm. Dimensions: length 58mm, bow width 4.17mm tapering to 1.35mm, wings are 3.10mm wide and 1.35mm thick, weight 2.72g. This brooch is suffering considerably from corrosion.

Roman cast copper alloy simple hinged brooch with strip bow. Formed of a simple strip of metal, tapering evenly from the head to the foot. At the had the end of the strip is rolled under to create a cylinder to hold the spindle for the (missing) hinged pin which moved in a central cut out slot. The bow rises in an even arc from the head but the lower third and foot have been bent under at a 135 degree angle so the foot almost touches the head, it appears the lower part of the bow and foot were previously straight. An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age La Tene III type brooch dating to AD 20-100. The brooch is bent and damaged, the pin and catchplate are missing. The brooch measures 43.5mm in length, 7.2mm maximum width (across the wings), 0.55mm minimum width (foot) and weighs 1.75 grams. The bow is long and slender (3.73mm wide) and narrows to a point. At the top of the brooch, the bow narrows to create a wire which is wound only twice round the top and then starts to extend down the back of the brooch to form the pin but is broken.
