A corroded and incomplete cast copper-alloy Colchester brooch dating to the late Iron Age to early Roman period (c. 25 - c. 60 AD). A one-piece example, it retains its rearward facing hook at the top of the head. The hook holds the external chord of the spring. On the side from which the spring emerges are three coils. On the other side the chord has broken just as it was about to coil and ultimately terminate in the pin; all these elements are missing. A cast copper alloy one piece brooch dating to the Late Iron Age (1st century BC/AD). The brooch is minimally decorated with only a thin cast groove down the spine. The catchplate sits sideways out from the foot of the brooch like some La Tene II variants. The catchplate is incomplete and the pin is missing, while only one partial loop of the integral spring remains.

A fragment of a Late Iron Age or early Roman copper alloy brooch of La Tene III, Nauheim derivative type dated 100BC-50AD. The brooch head is a one piece spring of which only two loops remain, with an internal chord. One loop, which would have continued to form the pin is lost. Only a small fragment of the bow remains. The brooch originally would have sprung with an axis bar through a perforated rearward lug and internal chord. This fragment comprises moulded zoomorphic ornament on the bow. Late Iron Age to Roman copper alloy Colchester type brooch, 25-60 AD. There are three turns of the spring to either side, and the external chord is held by a small hook at the top of the head. The pin is broken off. Short (length 13.08mm) undecorated wings in front of the spring. Narrow sub-circular sectioned bow (width 3.47mm, thickness 2.53mm at top) which tapers to a point. The catchplate is damaged but extended 25.75mm up the bow. Reddish-brown patina. Length 65.45mm, width across spring 17.5mm, width at top of bow 3.54mm, thickness across spring 7.6mm, weight 5.34g.
