Anglo-Saxon Cruciform brooch, Group 1, rectangular head-plate with narrow wings and integral full-round top knob (actually of rounded sub-trapezoidal section), the slight vertical arris on both divisions between head-plate and wings lies between two lines of confronted double C-shaped stamps, broken (ancient break) at springing of missing bow, single pieced lug on reverse. 28 x >38mm. 5th century.

Lower bow and footplate of Early Saxon cruciform brooch in very abraded condition, ancient break. Flat D-sectioned bow with panel forming facets and transverse groove at base. At top of footplate an apparently plain area above chamfered edges. Details of the half-round moulding and animal-head are largely obscured by wear. Incomplete catchplate. A narrow example. Early Saxon foot of cruciform brooch. Below an ancient break two sets of very fine transverse engraved lines and single notch on both sides. Very simple half-round moulding with a pair of transverse grooves below side chamfers. Slightly protruding eyes and a strong median arris down to swollen undivided nostrils, which are decorated with very finely engraved oblique lines. Terminal projecting loop with transverse hole. Length 43mm. Martin dates this type to c. 475-c. 500 AD (2015, 126).

Part of a Middle Saxon/Late Saxon cast copper alloy disc brooch. Equal-armed cross, the arms defined by a single raised curved line and flaring outward towards their ends. A plain border runs around the circumference of the brooch. There is no indication of a fastening mechanism on the reverse as so much of the brooch is missing. Maximum diameter: 24mm Weight: 2.53g. Detachable side-knob of Early Saxon Group V florid cruciform brooch with two (incomplete) attachment loops on the reverse. The inner edge, which would have fitted over the edge of the headplate, is incomplete through a recent fracture. The moulded human mask displayed on the front consists of eyebrows of the same width as the eyes, broad nose, curling moustache and mouth denoted by a single groove. The spatulate beard terminal is missing (ancient break). >20.5 x 28mm. 6th century.

Lower part of bow decorated with two horizontal grooves, above gently splayed foot with facetted sides between pairs of horizontal grooves. Fragment of a silver ansate brooch. Flat terminal in the form of a rectangular, moulded, 12-petalled flower. Slightly narrowed rectangular-sectioned bow broken across beginning of expansion, probably remains of a central decorative rectangle matching the terminal. Incomplete narrow catch-plate on reverse of terminal. Length at least 20mm, width of terminal 13mm, width of bow 11mm, weighing 4.28g.

A cast flat disc brooch. Around the circumference are eighteen projecting tooth-like lobes, giving the brooch a cogwheel-like appearance. In the centre is a low lozengiform boss with a concave underside. Four approximately D-shaped perforations make an openwork cross. A groove around the central boss extends at each corner to form a line down the centre of each arm. Around the cross is a circular band with a further groove forming a border.
