Disc mount from the bow of a Great Square-headed brooch, gilt copper alloy, Early Medieval. The decoration on the front comprises of two concentric rings, between which is a repeated design pattern of elongated 'Z's arranged circumferentially. At the centre is a circular boss. The boss and outer section are not gilded. The reverse has a short broken rivet projecting from the centre. This would have originally have gone through a hole in the bow of the brooch.
