A copper alloy disc of a later Early Medieval ansate brooch. The object is a disc from one end of an ansate brooch with one decorated face. The decoration consists of cells which would originally have been infilled with enamel/glass/coloured paste. Corrosion within the cells suggests some colour differentiation. There is no obvious organisation of the cells other than that they follow a circular pattern with a cross in the centre. The underside is undecorated and has a corroded lug. Cast copper alloy ansate brooch of the middle to late Early Medieval period, of Weetch's type II.Aiii. The bow of the object is D-shaped in section and the sub-circular, disc-shaped terminals are rectangular in section. The terminals have engraved cells showing an encircled cruciform shape. Headplate and partial bow from an Anglo-Saxon small long brooch. The brooch has a square headplate with three incomplete circular side wings. There is a punched ring and dot motif in the centre of the headplate and another in the centre of the top wing. The bow is arched and decorated with two transversly incised lines.

A fragment of a copper alloy Small Long brooch dating to the sixth century AD. The fragment comprises the head plate which is square in shape with slightly rounded edges. It is decorated with a central square raised panel within which is a ring and dot motif. The head plate is decorated with two further incised dots in the upper left and right corners. An Anglo-Scandinavian Borre-style disc brooch dating to the tenth century AD. The brooch possesses decoration comprising a flat circular plate. The plate is decorated with a concave-sided lozenge; from each of its four corners there extends interlace ending in double-contoured knots. In the centre is a sunken circular field. Around the edge of plate is a plain raised border. On the underside, there is a fragment of the perforated pin-lug. The catchplate is missing. The brooch has a diameter of 29mm and possesses a brown patina. This brooch is of a type commonly found in East Anglia.

A copper-alloy disc brooch of 'hub-cap' type, most likely to be AD 900-1100, late Anglo-Saxon in date. Very similar to examples from Wyverstone, see SF-E66913 and Mellis, see SF-7F2271. It is circular in shape and measures 20.96mm in diameter. The front face has a central circular setting containing a worn dark green glass gem. Surrounding this central setting there are seven circular indentations. The back face is flat and has a pin loop, now incomplete opposite a catchplate. No trace of the pin survives. It is fairly worn and has some patches of powdery green corrosion.

Flat, circular and apparently undecorated, it has a transversely set cylindrical lug (length 11.46mm, width 4.2mm) to hold the pin; this is set parallel to the edge of the brooch. Complete Early Medieval penannular brooch, Fowler type G. The hoop is circular with exterior diameter 27.36mm and interior diameter 18.29mm. The hoop face has moulded ribbed decoration while the reverse is plain. The terminals are cuboid with faceted sides and measure 6.74mm wide x 5.4mm thick. The item has a plain flared rim and a central rosette surrounded by a relief design referred to as 'devolved guilloche' which is essentially a series of stylised interwoven bands or ribbons represented by angular blocks flowing in an anti-clockwise direction. The foot is flat in section and semi-circular in profile, with no ornament, while the straight section above it features four raised cast horizontal bands. The fragment measures 28.2mm in length, with a width of 23.7mm. The crescentic foot is 10.4mm deep. The fragment's maximum thickness is 3.4mm, and it weighs 4.0g.

At this time, relatively crude imitations of larger brooches were produced, and these are termed 'small long brooches' (Hattatt 1985: 211). This is a good example of the type, measuring 51mm long, with a maximum head width of 24mm, and a bow thickness of 3.4mm. It weighs 11g.
