Incomplete, Early Saxon cast annular brooch, about half extant, slightly distorted, and worn. One end broken. At the other the hoop stops abruptly, and is continued by the stub of a very narrow bar for the (missing) pin. On the front a row of three-spoked stamps is bordered on the inside by an engraved line. Within this are a number of short radially engraved lines and what may just possibly be some runic figures. Hoop width 8mm, thickness 2mm. Diameter c.40mm.

Late early-medieval cast Borre-style disc brooch, very corroded purplish metal with approximately half of the outer edge missing. Much of the decoration is damaged or obscured by corrosion. However, enough survives to show that it comprised a concave-sided lozenge with each of the four corners extended to form interlaced knots. In the centre is a sunken circular field. The pin-lug is missing from the reverse on which a broken transverse catch-plate remains. There are no traces of a pin on the reverse of the brooch. Maximum diameter: >29mm. Weight: 4.52g.

Detachable side-knob of Early Saxon Group V florid cruciform brooch with two (incomplete) attachment loops on the reverse. The inner edge, which would have fitted over the edge of the headplate, is incomplete through a recent fracture. The moulded human mask displayed on the front consists of eyebrows of the same width as the eyes, broad nose, curling moustache and mouth denoted by a single groove. Late Saxon lead nummular brooch, circular with pelleted decoration in relief on face, damaged outer edge surviving best as a projection where the squashed catch-plate survives on the reverse. Jane Kershaw has confirmed this as - Trefoil brooch, Maixner Type G 1.3, group not known, not certain if this is of Scandinavian or Anglo-Scandinavian origin.

Fragment of a composite silver disc brooch of rosette shape, with inlaid garnets and silver filigree ornament; it dates to the early part of the early-medieval period and is perhaps of Frankish manufacture.

Less than one third of a Kentish silver jewelled disc brooch, rim missing. The central cell is empty. Three outer cells are extant, one circular filled with decayed blue glass paste, one D-shaped filled with similar but paler material and another circular, empty and distorted. Style I zoomorphic motifs fill the spaces between the outer cells and a pelleted circle surrounds the central cell. On the reverse there are the crushed remains of a double pin lug. Slightly narrowed rectangular-sectioned bow broken across beginning of expansion, probably remains of a central decorative rectangle matching the terminal. Incomplete narrow catch-plate on reverse of terminal. Length at least 20mm, width of terminal 13mm, width of bow 11mm, weighing 4.28g.

Consisting of round plates with an engraved cross within a circle, a low-arched triangular sectioned bow, and a short, high catchplate and remains of iron pin loop in lug. Length 40.5mm. Width of plates 11.5mm. Width of bow 4.8mm. Catchplate 4mm long, 7mm high. Thorle dates this type to the early 8th - mid 9th century, but Weetch gives a longer chronology of 8th to 10th century (2013, 144).

Each corner of both plates is lobed and stamped with a ring-and-dot decoration. There are three other ring-and-dots on the footplate and one on the head. An Ansate brooch of Thörle’s (2001) Group X C, comprising a bow with twin transverse ribs at the mid-point and both ends each with a series of short engraved lines crossing the dividing groove between ribs. Tapering rounded terminals with a slight lip. Twin pierced lugs, one is a replacement, with obscured riveted repair, rivet visible on face and corroded remains of iron pin on reverse, no trace of missing catch-plate. 8mm x 41mm. 7th-8th century AD.
