Part of a copper alloy circular brooch which is Early Medieval in date. The brooch is a flat disc with a raised ropework rim. The front of the disc and the rim is gilt. It is broken and the surviving fragment is 18.3mm long, 12.9mm wide and 5.8mm thick. There is a hole in the centre of the disc through which fits a small copper alloy and undecorated rivet which has also survived. The reverse of the disc is plain copper alloy with a dark brown patina. A double pin lug survives but not the pin. The brooch probably dates from the Early Anglo-Saxon period.

Gilt fragment of head-plate from an Early Saxon Great Square-Headed brooch, broken and bent, comprising undecorated fragment of head-plate second panel on one side of plain frame and inner panel with running loops containing pellets (as on example from Spong Hill, Hines fig.63c) and square bosses at angles and more elaborate boss at base of undecorated central bar between two square perforations (broken across one). Scandinavian copper alloy disc brooch. The brooch is decorated with an openwork Jellinge-style design of an interlacing animal (see NMS-7446E3 and ESS-4D7A85 for other examples of this style). On the reverse there are the remains of the pin lug and catchplate. The pin is missing. There is also part of the suspension loop which the wearer could have passed a chain through to wear the brooch as a pendant. Early medieval brooch: A Late Anglo-Saxon/Viking Age copper alloy cloisonné disc brooch with six (possibly originally seven) lobes and enamelled decoration. Small cast copper alloy bow brooch, with sub-triangular headplate and footplate. The brooch is similar to examples of small equal-armed brooches, although this example is not symmetrical, the headplate being slightly shorter than the footplate. It is thus also very similar to examples of miniature radiate-headed brooches, and perhaps sits somewhere between the two types. An incomplete early medieval continental type Anglo Saxon ansate brooch. The solid cast copper alloy D-shaped section brooch is decorated with three slight transverse mouldings, at the centre, left and right. On the back of the brooch are a pair of perforated lugs by which the pin was originally fixed and only part of the catch plate survives. The length is 38.2mm, the width is 11.9mm,the maximum thickness is 7.1mm and the weight is 11.16g.

Cast copper alloy bow brooch. The brooch comprises a bow without headplate, and a footplate. For most of its length (18.66mm) the bow has an ovoid cross-section, with flat sides and a ventral ridge. However, at the junction with the pin and spring, at its mid-point and at the junction with the foot the bow has thickened rectangular sections. An incomplete copper-alloy early Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch. Three quarters of the bow and the foot survive, the rest of this brooch and the pin are missing due to old breaks. It measures 40.01mm in surviving length and 8.05mm in width. The bow has a D-shaped cross-section and is faceted, the flat panel is short and the terminal in the shape of a horse head with bulging eyes and flaring protruding nostrils. The catchplate on the back face of the terminal is complete.

Half rounded side knob from a headplate of an an Early Medieval crucifrom brooch. The knob was integrally cast with the headplate. The knob is sub-rectangular in plan with a rounded terminal. The terminal is domed with a slightly concave reverse. There is a double moulded collar on the knob where it would have joined to the headplate. There is a very small section of the headplate remaining. The break is old and worn. It is 16.99mm long, 7.71mm wide, 3.84mm thick and weighs 1.19 grams.

The foot from an early-medieval small-long brooch (5th/6th century AD). The foot is expanded, with five sides. It is asymmetrical, with the left side when the foot is lowermost longer and wider. Above the foot the leg is as narrow as 6mm before flaring to 24.25mm at the foot. At the other end the bow curves upwards before a break. On the lower side of the leg is a slightly abraded, perpendicular catchplate (14.9 x 5.25 x 2mm). An incomplete cast copper-alloy applied saucer brooch of the Anglo-Saxon period. Only the baseplase, central stud, and pin fittings remain. The baseplate is circular, but with minor chipping to the edges. The baseplate is very slightly concave. The stud is roughly hour-glass shaped, with a flat top and flat base.
