Early medieval copper alloy/iron brooch fragment?, 18mm long, 17mm wide 4mm thick. It is in fair condition with a weight of 2.37grams. The object material resembles iron and where its damaged its structure does look like iron, but it has traces of copper corrosion suggesting it may have copper alloy core? The object has three distinct patches of gilding (one below the right eye), which should appear on the close up image. The object is trefoil in form and rectangular in section. Probable Anglo-Saxon iron annular brooch. The brooch is flat, 14mm wide and has a very corroded surface. Parts of the perimeter are damaged. Similar annular brooches are frequent finds on Anglo-Saxon cemetery sites and are well known from published local sites such as Fonaby, Cleatham, Lovenden Hill and Castledyke.

Large iron annular ring, probably a brooch. The ring frame is wide, flat and slightly convex. The frame is very corroded and no decoration can be seen.
