Description: Fragment of an applied gold disc from the centre of an early medieval composite disc brooch. The fragment is part of the curved edge of the disc. Around the outer edge is a border of fine gold beaded wire. The flat part of the disc is decorated with tiny annulets of gold beaded wire and the remains of three settings. One is circular with a collar made from gold strip, now flattened, within a border of gold beaded wire. The setting is now empty and the centre is pierced.
