Cast lead or lead alloy disc, in the form of an early medieval button brooch. The object has no rim, and two ill-formed projections on the back correspond to a pin-lug and catch-plate. Possibly a model used in the production of a mould for a copper alloy button brooch.

An incomplete lead brooch of early medieval date (c.1000).
Description: The brooch is circular in plan with a flat reverse. It is decorated with a central conical boss and six equidistant similarly-shaped smaller bosses surrounding. The remains of the pin attachment mechanism can be seen on the reverse. A small part of the edge of the brooch has broken off but remains with the brooch.
