Lithic, waste flint flake of uncertain date (probably late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age: 2500-1500 BC). The dorsal (upper) face has one central prominent arise and the striking platform is clearly evident. On the ventral (lower) face the bulb of percussion is less clearly evident. The flint is of poor quality for knapping due to large irregular inclusions. 51.1g

A crude, irregular and partly patinated or stained flint implement or core of uncertain form. It is roughly plano-convex in form with the upper surface retaining approximately 85-90% cortex. Several large flakes have been removed from both faces to form an irregular and crude edge at one end. It may perhaps have served as a simple crude core or core tool. The object measures 100.92mm in length, 58.24mm in width, 29.54mm in thickness, and weighs 179.14g. The precise date of this object remains uncertain as does its usage. The staining/patination may indicate a date as early as the Pala…

A large, unpatinated worked flint nodule. It is sub-triangular in section with cortex at the butt end. At the blade end there is evidence of limited edge rotuch and the removal of relatively large flakes, some of which may be the result of plough damage. This is probably a simple core with relatively limited usage. It measures 135.52mm in length, 67.93mm in width, 59.42mm in thickness, and weighs g. This flint nodule was probably worked during the later phases of the Prehistoric period, perhaps c.3,500-1 BC.

A chert pebble that has been broken and used as a polishing stone or burnisher. The back of the stone is fractured. The front is the working face and has been polished to a perfectly flat surface. The sides are rounded and are probably water worn; the original sides of the pebble. The tool is 85.5mm long, 58.3mm wide and 31.1mm thick. It weighs 191.9g. The stone is light grey in colour. Some similar stones have been recorded on the PAS database. NARC-5F4FD3 was interpreted as a linen smoother. SUSS-BC6602 suggested that it may have been used for grinding sand on skins to clean them …

A worked falke of uncetrain date, possibly Neolithic to Bronze Age. The flake has a very flat break through the bulb of percussion on the ventral face with some conchoidal rippling. The break has removed the stricking platform completely. The edges are straight then taper to a curved point.. The dorsal face is mostly covered with cortex. There is some evidance of retouch along one edge, suggesting this flake could have been used as scrapper.
