An extremely abraded metal disc, possibly a silver plated/washed copper alloy Roman coin. The finder believes that this is the right size and thickness for a Republican denarius, but it is impossible to positively identify based upon its poor preservation. Due to the nature of what looks like an uneven striking pattern, it is also possible that this is an Iron Age silver unit. It measures 19.12 mm diameter, 2.97 mm thick, and weighs 2.8 grams.
