Object type: WEIGHT
Broad period: UNKNOWN
County: East Riding of Yorkshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A complete cast lead weight of uncertain date. The weight is large and spherical with a deep circumferential groove running around it, possibly to aid suspension. While the exact function of this object cannot be securely determined and the decorative nature is unusual the groove suggests that it was used as some form of suspension weight.
