A contemporary copy of a nummus of Crispus dating to AD 321 - 323 (Reece period 16). BEATA TRA-NQVILLITAS (globe on altar inscribed VOT/IS/XX) reverse. Mint of Lyons (reverse); Mint of Trier (obverse). The obverse legend D N IVL CRISPVS AVG T cannot be correct because Crispus was only ever a Caesar. Furthermore, the obverse type with horse was not used at Lyon, the only existing types being from Trier; also the spear is normally pointing forwards so this might be copied from a coin which has not survived.
