A plated forgery (silver on copper-ally core) of a denarius of Julia Domna (AD 193-217); PIETAS PVBLICA reverse. The original coin is RIC Vol. IV(I), p. 170, no. 574. The coin is heavily corroded, with much of the silvered surface having been lost. It measures 17.4mm in diameter, 1.7mm thick and weighs 1.91g.
