A base silver contemporary copy of a Roman denarius of Caracalla (AD 196-217), dating to the period c.AD 200-202 (Reece period 10). MINERVA SANCT reverse type depicting Minerva standing left holding shield and spear. The reverse type is from the mint of Rome and is proper to Geta, although is also listed as a hybrid with Septimius Severus in RIC (RIC IV.1, p. 131, no. 319). This coin is therefore likely a base hybrid with an obverse of Caracalla and reverse of Geta.
