A silver Roman coin; a denarius of Hadrian (117 - 138), second consulship (118 - 119). The coin is in excellent condition and is hardly worn, though it has a few chips in the edge of the flan. Pax is shown on the reverse. The coin has a diameter of 19.5mm. The coin is sealed in a coin envelope so it's thickness and weight cannot be ascertained. For reference see Roman Imperial Coinage Volume II, number 44a.

A complete denarius of Hadrian. Probably a silver plated contemporary copy as there is some blistering on the flan. Coin copies BMC volume III, number 777 (AD134-AD137, mint of Rome) but reverse inscription is VOTA PV-BLICA rather than VOTA-PVBLIVA. Mass: 2.9g. Diameter: 20.5mm.
