Silver denarius of Carausius (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14), CONCORDIA (MILITVM or similar?) retrograde. clasped hands. It is possible there is a mintmark but the coin is incredibly close in style to an unmarked piece sold at auction (Classical Numismatic Group 102, 8 5 2016, lot 1090). Although coins are both of rough style, only metal analysis will enable us to comment further on whether they are regular. However, this piece does have a slightly blundered and mis-spelt obverse legend IN(reversed)P CARA[SI?]VS P A(G).. Diameter: 18.81 mm Weight: 3.30 g Die axis: 9
