This coin is well executed but uses the obverse of a coin of Septimius Severus and the reverse - PRINC IVVENT - of his sons, Caracalla and Geta. A plated forgery of a silver denarius of Julia Domna; FELICITAS reverse type. The official version of this coin (RIC no. 551) was struck in Rome in AD 206, under the reign of Septimius Severus. This coin is a very accurate copy and is only identifiable as a forgery due to the loss of a small area of silver, which reveals the copper-alloy core. The coin has slightly worn and corroded surfaces. It measures 19.1mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and weighs 2.38g.

For type, see RIC IV, pt 2, p. 34, no. 87. (see also BH-BB6E53). The coin is broken at the edge, revealing the copper-alloy core. The surfaces are slightly worn and corroded. It measures 18.7mm in diameter, 1.7mm thick and weighs 2g.
