A silver denarius of Elagabalus dating to the period AD 218 to 222 (Reece period 10). SANCT DEO SOLI ELAGABAL reverse type depicting slow quadriga bearing the conical stone of Emesa on which is an eagle surrounded by four parasols. Mint of Antioch. RIC IV, Pt II p. 43, no. 196d. This piece has the unusual version with ELAGABAL continuing around (hence upside down) into the exergue, rather than being written across the exergue.
