A fragment of possible copper-alloy metal working debris. It is neatly formed, oval shaped in plan and section with a smooth upper(?) surface. Some post-depositional wear and corrosion is visible on all surfaces. This fragment measures 16.13mm in length, 14.90mm in width, 7.52mm in thickness and 7.82g in weight. It is probably a relatively neat by-product of metal working, although given the findspot a function as a small weight, counter or similar object cannot be ruled out entirely. It is of uncertain Bronze Age or later date.
