Silver Republican denarius found with the aid of a metal detector in 2012. Probably of the family Procilius, around 80 BC. Obverse with bust of Jupiter facing right, with letters SC behind. Reverse figure (Juno Sospita?) advancing right with shield, spear aloft.

Roman coin: silver denarius of Mark Anthony, dating to c.32-31BC. It is Legionary coinage made by a travelling mint. The obverse shows a Galley with banners. It is inscribed [ANT AUG III VIR RPC]. The reverse depicts two Legionary Standards, with a Legionary eagle between them. It is inscribed LEG [XVI]. Crawford, pp. 539-541, No. 544
These coins were struck by Mark Antony for the use of his fleet and legions when he was preparing for the struggle with Octavius, which culminated in the Battle of Actium on the 2nd of September, 31 BC (Grueber, 1970, 526)

Republican denarius, obverse depicts a bust facing right wearing a laurel wreath with conspicuous ribbons and slight traces of an inscription. The reverse features a quadriga of horses galloping right and a figure facing right, presumably standing in a chariot behind. Very worn and with slight pitting of the surface on the reverse, complete, a dull grey colour.
