A complete copper alloy sceat of the second reign of Aethelred I of Northumbria and Archbishop Eanbald I fo York dating to the period AD 789 to 796. North Number 185/1. The obverse depicts a ring and dot motif in the centre surrounded by the legend which reads AEDILRED and refers to King Aethelred I of Northumbria. There is a thin border of pellets around the outside of the obverse.
