An incomplete lead post-medieval token. It is disc-shaped with a raised shield on one face decorated with multiple raised, transverse rectangular sections. It is heavily corroded, bent out of shape and there are sections missing from the edges with a long break running from one side towards the centre.
Simple tokens such as these were in use for much of the medieval period and into the post-medieval period. Without specific diagnostic details they are difficult to date more precisely.
