A Post-Medieval, uniface, lead alloy token dating from AD1700-1800. The obverse face has grid pattern. The reverse of the token is undecorated Lead alloy tokens were used for many purposes during the Medieval and Post Medieval periods, and cast by both large and small industries. A Post Medieval cast lead alloy token dating to AD 1659. This is a Powell type 2. The obverse has initials W . S . P in triangle formation (WS with P above) cast in relief with three pellets in triangle formation. The reverse has 1659 in two lines with two pellets, one either side cast in relief.
