Copper alloy cigarette lighter. A copper alloy cylinder, possibly the jacket of a rifle bullet and its cartridge case, or alternatively an object designed to resemble a bullet. The finder kindly suggests this to be an example of trench art; it is certainly inspired by such objects. The removal of a screw-threaded base with spherical suspension loop reveals a cavity for petrol soaked wadding [absent] with a central white metal pipe connecting it to the top.
