An incomplete copper-alloy suspension loop, probably from a Roman nail-cleaner dating to the period AD 43-300. The object consists of a cast integral circular loop with a narrow waisted-section below, followed by an expanded, flattened, rectangular section, which becomes narrower at its lower end. The surface and break are all corroded and well worn. One surface is decorated on the narrow rectangular section but a series of lightly incised wavy lines within an outer sub-rectangular border.  The reverse of the object is plain. A copper alloy Roman nail cleaner with moulded neck and shouldered blade,dating from the 1st to 2nd century AD. The blade is narrow and undecorated, tapering from round shoulders 6.8mm wide to a bifurcated tip 3.4mm wide (one point is missing). The neck has a lozengiform cross section with four flat sides, each decorated with deeply incised oblique lines creating a zig-zag effect. The neck widens slightly into a rounded suspension loop, 6.8mm in diameter,  set perpendicular to the plane of the blade.

A large and incomplete Roman copper alloy nail cleaner with a lozengiform blade, 58.3mm in length, made from a flat piece of metal 2.1mm thick. The object has surface decoration comprising a zig-zag along the mid line with flanking curved lines of punched dots. The edge of the plate is decorated with punched dots. The terminal has a forked cleaner; the other has a suspension loop with a small collar with incuse concave notches.
