It is moulded at the front and in the form of a lion's face. The rear face is flat. At the centre of the rear there is a slight depression, sub-rectangular in shape. A complete cast copper alloy suspension mount of probable Post-Medieval, seventeenth century date (AD 1600 - AD 1700). Length 42.7mm, width 16.1mm and 1.7mm thick. Weight 4.88g. The mount has a lozenge-shaped plate with a suspension hook integral with its lower part. The plate is slightly convex at the front and flat at the rear. It is trapezoidal in shape, with a rounded projection from the centre of one shorter side, and iron corrosion adhering to the centre of the opposite shorter side. There are traces of white metal coating on both front and back faces. The mount measures 18.46mm in length, 26.9mm in width and weighs 2.62g. Examples of this type of strap loop have been recorded from medieval London in a fourteenth century context.

An almost complete copper alloy strap mount in the form of an acorn. Probably seventeenth century (AD 1600 - AD 1700). Length 37.6mm, width 22.1mm and 3.7mm thick. Weight 7.38g. The mount is convex at the front and concave at the rear. At the front the seed (or fruit) is plain and has a small knop at the apex. The junction between the seed and the cupola is defined by a transverse rib which has a depth of 2.1mm. The cupola appears to be undecorated. There are the remains, just the bases, which have been worn flat, of the two integral lugs on the back of the mount. Read (2001) illustrates similar examples on page 34, Fig.19, Nos.288-290, which are dated to the 17th century. Read (1988) illustrates a similar example on page 116, No.750, which is dated from the 16th to the 17th century.

A copper alloy mount in the form of a finely moulded deer’s head. The mount is convex and is sub triangular but with the deer’s antlers projecting above. It is 32.6mm long, 29.2mm wide and 7.3mm thick. The stag’s head is moulded in relief. Each antler has three prongs, there is moulding to suggest the animal’s hair on its forehead, the ears and eyes are oval and there are clear circular nostrils.
