A worn copper-alloy object of uncertain date and function, perhaps a casting jet or worn zoomorphic figurine. It is triangular in cross-section with five worn projections to the underside, one end narrowing to a worn point. The other end terminates in a worn break. The projections have a rectangular cross-section. The metal is green in colour and rough to touch, with areas of blackening. The surface of the metal is pitted. The object measures 44.8mm in length, 7.0mm in width, 18.6mm in max.depth and weighs 13.84g.

A fragment of copper alloy metalworking industrial debris possibly medieval to Post Medieval in date. (AD1200-1800). The fragment is of poured and solidified copper alloy melt, presumably waste from an episode of casting, which has solidified. The fragment measures 30mm long, 28.3mm wide, 5.1mm thick and weighs 12.99 grams.

A probable piece of copper alloy metal working debris, perhaps a casting runner, of uncertain date. The object is conical in shape with an oval base (19.8x17.9mm) narrowing into a projection that is oval in cross-section and terminating in a worn break (which measures 10.2x8.8mm). The object stands 15.2mm in height and weighs 4.62g. All original patina is lost and the metal is now a browny-purple in colour.

A Modern object of lead alloy which appears to be debris from casting metal objects. It is perhaps a casting well and a pair of jets. The object has two spirally ribbed projections and a rounded upper face in the shape of an elongated oval. A number of these have been seen by FLOs but not all have been recorded. See for example LANCUM-A4B2C5.

An undateable copper-alloy solidified droplet. The droplet has almost divided in two during formation, so that there is one large blob and a smaller blob. A central longitudinal groove running part way along the reverse of the droplet indicates that it formed whilst resting on another object, which would suggest that it formed as a by product of metalworking. The droplet is mostly grey-black in colour, although the groove is orange-brown. The droplet measures 12.8mm x 8.1m before decreasing to 8.4mm x 4.2mm, and increasing again for the smaller element 9.2mm x 5.2mm. The overall lengt…

A copper alloy casting jet of probable Bronze Age date (2150 BC - 800 BC). The object has a flat sub-oval head, the surface of which is irregular and pitted. This uneven surface was probably created when the molten metal was solidifying. Below extend a pair of sprue elements (feeders) at c.135 degree angles. Each feeder is c.13mm long and D-shaped in cross-section, being flat to the inside surface. Both ends (measuring 12.6x9.6mm and 14.1x10.9mm) have rectangular depressions at the centre. The object has a mid- green patina and a lightly pitted surface. The jet stands 29.8mm in heig…

This end measures 26.02x16.86mm. The casting sprue stands 22.52mm with a (old) break at the other end, 17.02x5.76mm. This break is D-shaped in section, as is the trunk of the sprue (which is parallel sided).
