A Post Medieval-Modern hand made copper alloy locket, c.AD 1770-1900. This is the main body of a locket that was designed to hold a small photo. It consists of a solid base with a oval frame that attaches to it, which would hold the photo in the locket. This frame has stamped floral decoration around it, although the details are slightly obscured by corrosion and wear. The front cover, which may have been decorated or engraved, is missing. The reverse of the body has two broken attachment bases just below the centre of the locket. There appears to be the base of a third attachmen…

The locket is in poor condition comprising a thin copper alloy sheet loosely fitting within the larger, thicker locket base. The thin sheet is badly damaged, missing the original edges, and the surface is covered in corrosion. Lock plate of a silver locket. The object is an uneven pentagon, with two long paralle sides, one perpendicular side and two at 45 degree angles. Near the top edge is a lock hole for a key. There is some staining on the back and a small protrusion which suggests the position of a clasp. It is unlikely that the keyhole was functional but purely for decoration. Copper alloy locket. The two pressed metal halves of a heart-shaped locket, with both bearing an integral loop springing from the cleft of the heard. The display side bears three hollow settings of diameter 2mm with incised scrolls around them. Gilding is retained near the decoration.
