Copper alloy possible jess swivel loop. A cast loop with an expanded base with a waisted lug which has the appearance of being screw-threaded at its end; this perhaps a tiny separate terminal washer of diameter3.4mm, as inferred from what follows. A second, D-shaped, loop, expanded on its straight side with a central aperture, receives the lug which passed through the hole. This arrangement became clear when the object broke in the course of its examination by MF, when a small part of the second loop described became detached.
