Iron harpoon. The harpoon has a socketed shaft with the remains of two iron rivets in situ. The socketed shaft is formed by rolling the flat wings over. The length of the socket is 91mm. The shaft is relatively thick, rectangular in section 13mm by 10mm, and 440mm in length. The shaft only tapers at the point where it meets the barb. There is one barb to the harpoon, which is square in section and 48mm in length. The tip has been broken.
