A silver penny of Coenwulf, Group III, Cross Crosslet type, c.810-821 AD. As North, 1980: no. 345, cf. EMC 1985.0048 for a near identical coin, possibly from the same dies. Parts of the edges of the flan are missing due to old breaks and the coin has some post-depositional corrosion.
