A very worn and crumpled silver hammered Venetian soldino, Daubney type 2, probably issued by either doge Antonio Venier (1382-1400) or Michele Steno (1400-1413). Obverse: Doge kneeling left holding banner with star control mark to right, legend illegible. Reverse: winged and nimbate lion of St Mark facing within inner border, holding book of gospels, [S MARCVS VENET]I.
