Heavily worn Post-Medieval copper alloy coin, possibly a Georgian farthing, c 1760-1820AD). On the obverse is the outline of a male bust facing right. The ties at the back of the head are clearly visible suggesting one of the Georges. On th reverse the seated figure of Britannia facing left is clearly visible. Neither the legend nor date survives.
The coin is slightly smaller than other farthings from the eighteenth century, and the flan is quite thin, suggesting that this may be a contemporary forgery.
