Late Saxon copper alloy bit link, cf. Williams 2007, FRG Datasheet 39, fig. 5. The non-knobbed loop is circular rather than oval and is not larger than the other loop. It is also worn thin at its outer edge. Weight 11.01g. Length 52.1mm. Width 21.7mm. Thickness  3mm at the knobbed loop and 6.1mm at the boss. 11th century.

Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy enamel inlaid bridle fitting, a cheekpiece, toggle or "slider". A round-sectioned bar which expands to flat terminals and at the centre swells around an oval aperture. At the centre on one face there is a row of rectangular cells, the central one of which retains some red enamel. Enamel has been lost from the other two. Near one end an elogated and slightly curving cell is filled with white enamel. On one terminal an off-centre round cell contains dull pinkish inlay. Cf. An object of similar shape and decoration, but with stubs of different sections at the broken end was found in Bradenham (HER 45395). 11th century.

The front of the plate is decorated with grooves, and one corner is missing. Length 41mm, width of loop 17mm, width of plate c.27mm. The centres of the loop and aperture are only 27mm apart, far shorter than the norm for cheek-pieces. 11th century.

Late Saxon incomplete bridle cheek-piece, of the elaborate type with moulded and engraved animal ornament of Ringerike style (Pedersen 1996-7, figs.2, 4 and 5). At top of the arm a trilobed loop, and below the arm a boss projects between the very worn remains of three openwork apertures. No detail of the animal ornament survives. Maximum surviving height 49mm, width across lobes 24mm, maximum surviving width 33mm. 11th century.
