A copper alloy bridle boss. The boss is circular and domed. The dome is openwork with the reserve in the form of a moulded fleur de lis with four apertures around it. There is a moulded rope-pattern collar around the base of the dome.The flanged, outer frame of the boss is decorated with groups of moulded concentric crescents. The outer edge of the mount is scalloped. There are two attachment holes set across the diameter of the mount (at 12 and 6 o'clock in relation to the fleur de lis). A fragment of copper alloy, probably part of a bridle fitting or stirrup terminal, dating to c. AD 1000-1100. The fragment is sub-rectangular is cross section an irregular in plan; it is truncated by an old break at one end from which it expands in width and then curves very slightly and birfurcates, with breaks at 1 o'clock and 3 o'clock. The space in between the breaks is concave. Two low knops expand from behind the birfurcation. A small section of engraved ringerike or urnes-derived decoration survives on one face. An incomplete cast copper alloy bridle fitting (cheek-piece) of late Early-medieval date. The surviving fragment is broadly triangular in plan with the remains of an open circle cutting the wide wedge of the triangle. At the apex of the triganle is a moulded animal's head set perpendicular to the main object. The head has an elongated snout, eyes on the side of its head and ears lying flat on its head. 13 bridle bosses or other horse harness decorations All of the same design -one is incomplete. Shield-shaped (square) mount with central shield-shaped boss. Cast decoration in a floral design (a pattern of a sexfoils alternating with foliate curlicues and a single bell-shaped flower at the centre top) in a band around the edge. The boss is a squared shield with a pointed base and a slight v-shaped recess in the top edge. The boss is solid and undecorated. The back surface is irregular and has the remnants if four evenly spaced fixings (two on each side).

Circular mount with cone-shaped central boss. Cast decoration in a floral design (a pattern of a sexfoil and three quatrefoils repeated with swags below the quatrefoils) in a band around the edge.
