Description:  A fragment from a medieval gold finger ring consisting only of the bezel and the stone it held. The biconical bezel is oval in plan, hexagonal in cross section and hollow. On the lower edges of the long sides there are the remains of the attachment between the bezel and hoop surviving as trapezoidal projections. To the side of one of these, the frame is cracked and broken missing small fragments of its plate. At top of the bezel is an oval hole leaving space for a cabochon purple gemstone.
