A gold noble of Henry V (1413-1422) Class B (North 1370), cf. Woodhead SCBI 47 nos 217-21. Clipped. When found (see image from finder) the coin was folded horizontally across the obverse (across prow of ship).

Reverse: +IhC AVTEm TRAn[ ]IEnS[ ]ER mEDIVm[ ]V IBAT (saltire stops).

Reverse description: Short cross with a lion in each angle and with central device, all within 8 arched tressure, with alternating crowns and lis below its arches.
