A gold solidus of Valentinian I (364-375), dating to 367-375. (Reece period 19), VICTORIA AVGG reverse bearing two Emperors seated facing, together holding a globe. Behind and between them the upper portion of a Victory with outspread wings; between them and below, a palm branch. Minted in Trier, //TROBS. RIC IX, p.16, no:17b4. Measurements: Diameter: 21.12mm, Thickness: 1.12mm, Weight: 4.48g.

Gold solidus of Jovinus (411-13), RESTITVTOR REIP reverse type depiciting emperor draped, cuirassed, standing right, holding standard in right hand and Victory on globe in left hand; treading down a prostrate captive with left foot Mint of Triet Trier, RIC X, Trier no. 1704. Jovinus was a usurper (unofficial emperor) who reigned in Gaul from AD 411-413. The coin is in very good condition, with little or no wear, although there is a small split at the edge behind the Emperor's head.
